TODAY’S LEARNING
How to move at AI speed: use AI as your second pair of eyes, explore fast, and choose smarter in everyday life and work.
Level: Beginner Stack: Claude · ChatGPT · Gemini · MCP
AI speed isn’t typing faster. It’s deciding faster without missing anything. And the easiest way to get there in October 2026 is one old meeting rule.
THE 30-SECOND TAKE
- Use AI as your second pair of eyes: it finds and compares, you verify before you book or pay.
- Make zero-click answers work for you, not just for brands, and explore options you’d never have searched for.
- Drop prompt tricks. Plain intent plus memory, and a ten-minute setup, keep you at AI speed.
Read it your way: see the whole idea in the picture below, then follow the steps in order.

What Is AI Speed?
Everyone is talking about AI speed. Here’s the simple truth: if you don’t move with it, your competitor will.
It isn’t an official term. It’s the idea that speed itself is now the edge. PwC says that in the age of AI, speed matters more and scale matters less. Consulting firm Wiss calls momentum the new moat, and defines speed as shortening the gap between seeing something new and testing it, not rushing.
In this post, AI speed has three parts:
A second pair of eyes
So you miss less.
Fast exploring
So you find more.
Plain intent
So you spend less time explaining.
There’s an old saying in meetings: two people means four eyes, so nothing gets missed. Banks call it the four-eyes principle. Nobody approves a big payment alone. In 2026, everyone gets that second pair of eyes for free.
1. AI as Your Second Pair of Eyes
Two people, four eyes, nothing missed. In 2026, AI is your second pair.
Your eyes see what you want. AI’s eyes see what you missed: the hidden fee, the bad review pattern, the hotel that’s cheaper two streets away.
The most useful question you can ask isn’t “find me a hotel.” It’s “What am I missing?” Ask it before any decision. AI is good at spotting gaps you didn’t think to check.
But four eyes only work if both pairs look. Research shows people follow AI guidance about 80% of the time even when it’s wrong, and only 8% fact-check. So AI looks first, and you look last.
In short: ask AI “What am I missing?” before every decision, then check its answer yourself.
2. Make Zero-Click Work for You, Not Just Your Brand
Brands fight to appear in AI answers. Flip it: use those answers to choose.
Zero-click means AI gives you the answer directly, with no list of links to click through. Marketers treat it as a threat. We covered that side in Why AEO and GEO Matter More Than SEO Alone.
Now use it from the other side. Say you want a hotel in Chennai for two nights. One plain question gets you:
That used to take an evening and 30 browser tabs. Now it’s one chat.
In short: the same AI answers brands chase can help you pick the best brand or service in one chat.
3. Explore Fast, Discover More
You’ll never find what you don’t know to search for. AI shows you anyway.
Old search only answered the question you typed. AI can answer the question you didn’t know to ask. Ask “what are my options?” and you get tools, places and services you’d never have found by keyword.
This works at work too: comparing vendors or tools before a purchase, quick market research on a new idea, or prepping for a meeting.
The goal is to see more options in less time, then choose.
In short: ask AI for your options, not just answers, and you’ll discover things search never showed you.
4. Is AI Shaping Your Choices?
Maybe yes, but it’s widening your options, not narrowing them.
In KAYAK’s 2026 report, nearly six in 10 travellers said they’d change destination if AI suggested somewhere better. AI is no longer just answering; it’s nudging decisions.
That’s not a bad thing if you stay in charge. AI brings options to the table. You make the call. Think of it as a smart friend who’s read every review, not a boss who decides for you.
In short: AI enhances your choices. You still make the final call.
5. No More Prompt Tricks: Just Intent + Memory
In 2023 you learned magic words. In 2026, AI learned you.
Remember the prompt engineering courses? “Act as an expert…”, “Think step by step…”, the perfect phrase that unlocked a better answer. Most of that craft has quietly expired. Today’s models were trained on those very tricks, so the tricks no longer move the needle. In mid-2026 testing across the top models, the finding was simple: you can write down exactly what you want and get it.
Intent: AI Understands What You Mean
You don’t need special wording. Plain, natural language works, the way you’d brief a friend. What matters now isn’t how you ask but what you tell it.
Weak ask
“Find a hotel in Chennai.”
Strong ask
“Hotel in Chennai, Nov 5 to 7, under ₹4,000 a night, near Central station, need parking.”
Neither is prompt engineering. The second simply shares your real situation.
Memory: AI Remembers Who’s Asking
Between 2024 and March 2026, ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini all moved from forgetful chatbots to assistants that keep long-term context about you.
So tell AI once that you’re vegetarian, travel on a budget, or work in marketing, and it starts every answer closer to right. “Find me a hotel for next week” can come back with your usual budget, veg food nearby and parking, with nothing re-explained.
You stay in control. Each assistant lets you view, edit or switch memory off, and all three offer a temporary or incognito chat for anything you’d rather it forgot.
In short: don’t write longer prompts. Write clearer needs, and let memory fill in the rest.
6. More Ways to Speed Up: Set Up Your AI Once
Ten minutes of setup saves hours every week.
Setting up AI is far easier than it was a year ago. Most of it is clicking “connect.”
1. Turn on memory
Tell AI your city, budget style, work and preferences once. Every answer after that starts closer to right.

2. Connect your tools with MCP
MCP lets AI work inside your apps (email, calendar, WordPress, tasks) instead of you copying and pasting. Start with What Is an MCP Server?, then MCP in 2026.
↓
3. Run marketing from one chat
Ads, social posts and SEO through connectors: The One-Chat Marketing Department.
↓
4. Schedule it
Set AI tasks to run on their own: a morning brief, a price check, a weekly news roundup. You wake up to work already done.
↓
5. Automate the repeats
Pick one task you do every week and hand it over: The Freelancer’s AI Playbook.
↓
6. Keep a human check before actions
AI researches, AI prepares, you review, then it acts. That’s the second pair of eyes built into your setup.
In short: memory, MCP and schedules do the setup work once, so every day after runs faster.
7. If You’re a Coder
You don’t write every line anymore. You direct, review and ship.
AI speed is even bigger for builders. The job has moved from typing code to giving clear intent and checking the result.
One rule from experience
Never paste API keys into a chat. Keep them in secrets.
In short: give clear intent, let AI build, and review everything before it ships.
8. The AI Speed Formula

AI speed
Speed without the second eye is just rushing. AI still gets things wrong: in one study, about one in ten Google AI answers had errors, and a travel survey found 1 in 6 AI users were recommended a place or tour that didn’t exist.
Five Habits to Keep
Never share payment details
No OTPs, card numbers or UPI PINs in any AI chat, ever.
In short: AI looks first. You look last. That’s moving at AI speed.
WorkSmarto verdict
Worth exploring when: you spend evenings comparing options across tabs, or decide alone on things that cost money.
Start small: turn on memory → ask one plain question with your real details → ask “What am I missing?” → verify before you pay.
Do not skip: opening the source, checking final prices on official sites, and keeping payment details out of chat.
